Charles Alex Showell, Sr., 78 of Princess Anne departed this life May 6, 2023, at Costal Hospice by the Lake in Salisbury. He was born November 25, 1944, to the late Stansbury, Sr. and Ida Mae Showell.

Charlie or Bo, as he was affectionately known by close friends, spent his earlier years in Maryland. During this time, he met and married his first wife Mary F Kellam. Later he moved to Philadelphia where he found his second love, Susan Phillips. Charlie was a free-spirited individual enjoying life every moment allowed. Charlie spent many years working  for Cherry Press in Philadelphia. He loved fishing and a socializing with neighborhood friends.

Charlie leaves to cherish fond memories with his three sons: Charles, Jr and Nathan Showell both of Salisbury, and Charles Kevin Showell of Atlanta, Georgia; 2 daughters: Niecy and Karen Phillips of Philadelphia; and 2 brothers: Joseph Showell of Salisbury, George Showell (Kara) of New Jersey.

In addition to his parents, Charlie is preceded in death by 2 sons:, Ricky E. Showell and Jimmy Ray Phillips; 3 brothers: Robert, Bobby, and Stansbury, Jr; and one sister, Anna Jean Bryant.
