Daniel Marcus Mapes, 34 of Salisbury, gained his wings on January 6, 2024, 11:16 a.m. Scoob, as he was better known by family and friends, was born in Wayne, New Jersey, April 30, 1989. He was the son of Nicolas Barber and Kinda Mapes.

Scooby spent most of his life in Salisbury. He graduated from the Public Schools of Wicomico County. Scooby was no stranger to work. He held employment with Mountaire, Perdues, and Taco Bell. Scoob had a heart of gold. Even after losing his mother in 2006, he wanted nothing more than to be around and loved by his family. Scoob had a big heart, and his presence will be missed by many.

Scooby leaves to cherish fond memories with 2 sisters: Doris Washinton and Dahnasia Mapes; 2 brothers: David and Darrell Mapes; his grandmother, Doris Mapes McDowell; his grandfather, Alphonzo "Buck" McDowell; nieces and nephews: Juelz and Jamari Washington, Jakenda Prunty, Nakya, TajMarie, Tae, Dallas, and Tia Mapes

Scooby has now gained his wings to join his mother, Kinda Mapes. Fly high "Scoob."
