Duane Thomas Pershing, 52 of Ocean View, DE, died early Wednesday morning, June 10, 2026, as the result of a bicycle accident. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Maurice Thomas Pershing and Nancy Lee Moran on October 18, 1973.

Duane attended school in Baltimore at an early age before moving to Ocean View, Delaware. He was always a hard worker. James spent many years working as a Technician at the Animal Hospital, Banks Liquor Store, and Giant Foods, all in Ocean View.

Duane loved his family and supported them whenever possible. His one true and everlasting love was his dog, Keyper.

Duane leaves to cherish his loving memories with his sister, Shannon Pershing of Ocean View; 3 nephews: Cage, Cruz, and Cody Pershing, all of Ocean View, and a host of other relatives and friends.

So good-bye for now, my brother. I have not one regret. You were a part of my life that I’ll never forget.
