Jeanette Veronica Johnson departed this life on March 21, 2025, at her residence in Laurel, DE.  Born in Seaford, DE on March 18, 1973, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Gray and the late Andrew Matthews. Jeanette attended public school in Seaford, DE and worked in several jobs as a cashier in the fast-food industry. She gave birth to two loving daughters and was actively involved in the lives of her grandchildren.

In addition to both of her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Kahadijah Gray and a sister, Doris L. Newsome.

Jeanette leaves to mourn her loving and devoted daughter, Jasiman Gray, of Milford, DE; five grandchildren: Ja'Kyai Gray, Davion "Dayday" Massey, Emariah "Marmar" Massey, and Zanara "Cookie" Gray of Milford, DE and Jeremiah Lee Gray of Seaford, DE; six siblings: Shannon Williams, Jason Williams, Jermaine Williams, Andrew Matthew's, Jr., Darryl Matthew's, Andrea Thomas of Seaford, DE. She also leaves to cherish her memory two special nieces, Crystal and Cassandra Gray, a host of other family members and friends.
