As the angel's wings descended upon Tidal Heath Hospital on January 25, 2025, our beloved son and brother, Jeffrey Allen Way, was called to eternal rest with his loving family by his side. Jeffrey, also known to many as "Jeff" and "Jethro Petie", was born November 10, 1959, to Joyce Marie Way and the late Levin Joseph Way, Sr.

Jeff received his education from the Wicomico County School system. After high school, Jeff's love for trucking led him to work for J. I. Wells in Sharptown, Maryland. Eventually Jeff began working for Long Life Treated Wood, Inc in Hebron, Maryland. He will be remembered for listening to any genre of music while he ate any meal. Jeff enjoyed watching Sci Fi series, Westerns, NCIS, and Criminal Minds. He had an affectionate chuckle so funny you would have thought he was at a comedy show. A cherished memory and probably the biggest one was his passion for cleanliness and order. Jeff would ask to have his floor vacuumed, but you better come prepared to clean the entire room.

Jeff leaves to cherish fond memories with his beloved and dedicated mother, Joyce Way of Salisbury; 2 brothers: Terry Wood (Debra) of Millsboro, Delaware and Myron "Dump" Way of Salisbury; 3 sisters: Jill Way of Hanover, MD, Grace Berry (Tony) of Magnolia, Delaware, and Norma McCandless (Bill) of Belleville, Illinois; 3 nephews: Larry (J.R.) Watts, Jr (Shelby), Carlton Handy, and Germaine Wood; nieces: Kristen Miles (Larry), La'Naia Mills, Bria Mills, Shavelle Corbitt, Tyricia Wood-Wilson (Jamel), and Ebony Woods who loved him dearly and shared fond memories with him from cutting his hair, taking him out for walks, singing and entertaining him, and just visiting with him for a while; 4 great nieces and 12 great nephews; Uncles and Aunts: Clayton Wood (Betty) of Philadelphia Pennsylvania and Dorothy Fall of Salisbury; 2 devoted cousins who were like brothers: Derrick Gerald and Asa Downs (Monica), and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to his father, Levin, Jeff was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Levin J Way, Jr and Andre Miles; grandmothers: Blanche Wood and Grace Way; grandfather, Mack S Wood; special nephews: Terry M Wood, Jr and Dwayne Wood; aunts and uncles: Franzella Allison (Warren), Forest Wood (Florence), and cousin, Brooke Allison.
