Mrs. Juanita R Cervantes, 76 of Seaford DE, passed away Tuesdays morning, 1 a.m., December 12,2023 at Tidal Health surrounded by her family. She was born June 24, 1947, in San Antonio, TX to the late Irene Guerrero, and Jose Rodriguez.

Later in life, she met and married the love of her life, Jose Cervantes. She loved her husbands with all her heart. He was her best friend, her rock. Juanita was devoted to her church and her big family with 4 generations of love. She was a member of St John United Methodist Church in Seaford. Juanita could often be heard humming her favorite hymns. Juanita exemplified David to this degree, "I was glad when they said unto me, let us go into the House of the Lord." She had a passion for gardening, animals, and friends. Entertaining was always the highlight of her life. Juanita loved the fellowship she had with her grandchildren, great grands, and great-great grands. Whenever she had spare time, she loved shopping. But above all, she loved and adored her children.

Juanita leaves to cherish fond memories, her husband, Jose I. Cervantes; 2 sons: Felix Hernandez (Juanita) and Ernest Gonzalez (Deborah); 3 daughters: Olivia Hernandez, Janie Gonzalez, and Maria Lipscomb (Lee); 3 brothers: Larry and Johnnie Rodriguez and Jessie Hernandez; grandchildren: Raven, Samie (AJ), Martin, Jr., Kyle, Cody, Justeen (Nick), David, Nicholas, Krystyna (Colin), Rosa, Cheyenne (Donald), Anleyia, Raekuwon, Jordan, Syncear, Savannah, Dylanee, Spencer, Kaizen, Anthony, Rosaleigh, Emmie, Amelyia, Cali, Kane, Ava, Arie, Camila, Treshawn, Javier, Jy'Cier, and Emori.

In addition to her parents, Juanita was preceded in death by her son, Martin Hernandez, and sibling.

She will be missed by her surviving brothers: Larry, Johnny, and Jessie Rodriguez.
