IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karnell Maurice
Wise, Sr
September 15, 1981 – October 17, 2024
Karnell Maurice Sr., son of Martini Cannon and the late Alex Mckinley Wise Sr was born on September 15, 1981. Karnell passed away on October 18, 2024, in Henrico County, VA at the age of 43.
Karnell was born and raised in Seaford. He received his education and graduated from Seaford Senior High School where he ran track and field. Back in the day, you could find him in the yard playing basketball with his mother and brother. Karnell was also known for quick speed and acrobatic skills. He loved to flip. He actually passed on his skills to one of his sons. Karnell was known to work in the production and factory field. He was one of the "fliest" and best dressed persons to walk this earth. You better believe he was never going to miss a sneaker release. In his past time, he loved to spend time gaming and fishing. There was never a dull moment around Karnell. His sense of humor and bright smile would always brighten your day. His distinct laugh and fast talking will definitely be missed. Karnell also loved to gather with family. He loved and cherished the ground his children walked on. Karnell accepted the Lord as his savior at Smyrna Worship Center in Smyrna, Georgia under the leadership of Elder William Jordan.
Karnell was preceded in death by his son, Kordae Wise; his father, Alex Wise Sr.; his brother, Howard Smack; his maternal grandmother and grandfather: Daisey and James Pinder Sr.; and his nephew, Alex Wise III.
Karnell is survived by his mother, Martini (Maurice) Cannon of Seaford; 5 sons: Karnell Wise Jr of Georgetown, Karaun Wise of Cambridge, MD, Raeshaun Horsey of Laurel, Myles Turner Farmer of Florida, and Brinton Wise of Virginia Beach, VA; one daughter, Zandra Whitney of Virginia Beach; 2 brothers: Nathaniel (Margetta) Hughes of Richmond, VA and Alex Wise Jr (Tonia) of Bridgeville; 4 sisters: Tracy (Alvin) Marshall of Thomaston, GA, Teresa White of Fayettville, GA, Sabrina (Durell) Purnell of Camden, DE, and Crystal Alexander; a brother from another mother, Leon Malone; a special friend, Davonya Adamson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends of whom Karnell loved and adored.
