IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Latoya Keshaun
Speller
March 7, 1989 – January 5, 2024
Latoya Keshaun Speller, 34 of Salisbury, took her first breath on March 7, 1989, and smiled her last smile January 5, 2024. She was the daughter of Larry Dinnail Speller, of California and the late Tyria Kim Sparks.
Toya, as she was affectionately known by family and friends, was raised in Denton. She attended the public schools of Caroline County. Toya was raised in her grandfather's church. She attended the Mission Hill Apostolic Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of Bishop John W Mosley and the late Mother Geraldine Mosley. Mother Mosley taught Toya what it meant to love and be a lady. Toya would take trips down south with her grandparents at an early age, where she would spend the summer with sisters: Devi and Nina. She had a deep and sincere love for her siblings and wanted nothing but the best for them.
Toya had many talents and enjoyed singing and making memories with family and friends. She was certainly one of a kind with a heart of gold. She would always make you laugh and made sure you had a smile on your face. Although facing many challenges, she would still strive to be the best and be there for others, especially her children.
In addition to her father, Larry Dinnail Speller (Lauren Melton), she leaves to cherish fond memories with her children: Diamond, Raymond Jr., Serenity, and Iscis Adkins; 3 brothers: Demetrik Sudler (Tiffany Hunt), Robert Sudler and Jullian Holley (Brianna); 4 sisters: Brianna Speller (Anthony Smallz), Kanesia Johns (Shanika Stevens), Keyshira Holley, and Devlona Mosley (William McKinley); her maternal grandmother, Teresa Newton of Cambridge; aunts and uncles: Denise Henderson (Michael), Brenda Watkins (Chris), Lee Speller, Michael Clark, Debra Acoff, Paul Newton (Cecily), Mitchell Clark (Edna), Rene Lewis, Joan Moxley, Ronnie Lewis, Antone Ennals, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is also survived by her best friend, Candice Hudson.
Latoya is preceded in death by a brother, Darius Sudler, 2 aunts: Joyce Mason and Ernastina Coranota; maternal grandparents: Louise Lewis and Preston Raikes, and her stepmother, Danita Speller who love Toya just like her own child.
