Obituary

Makoa Na'seer Copes was born on September 5, 2021, in Milford, Delaware. He was the son of Malik D. Copes and Zynaisa L. Ramil. Makoa passed peacefully in his sleep on September 12, 2022.

Makoa loved to hug and cuddle with his mommy. He had a smile that brightened a room and made your heart smile. He enjoyed playing with his sister Aveah and his brother Kamari. Makoa was spoiled and truly loved by his Godmother Taylor McCray.

Makoa's favorite foods were pizza, noodles, greens and chicken and he loved snack time. Makoa also loved to sing, dance and praise God when he attended church with his mother. His favorite song was "If You're Happy and You Know It Clap Your Hands". Makoa also loved listening to his father's music. He especially loved bath time. That was the perfect time for him to splash water everywhere, try to swim and throw all the toys out of the bathtub.  Makoa was a gift to us that will live in our hearts forever.

Makoa was preceded in death by his Great Grandfather's Willie Selby and Abraham Week. His Great Grandmother's Mercy G. Spruance, Blanche Melvin and Marlene Davis.
