Michael Linwood Baker, 66 of Seaford (Blades, DE) entered eternal rest on Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, at his residence. He was born to the late Walter and Edith Toomey Baker on November 19, 1958, in Wicomico County, Maryland. Currently he was residing in Blades Delaware where he passed suddenly but peacefully in his home.

Michael had a love for the outdoors, especially the cooler weather of course.  He enjoyed hunting with Lloyd, and golfing with his son James. Fo many years, Michael was employed at Delaware Tech College in Georgetown for over 30 years. His co-workers there were more like family. Michael was a father to a few, a son to a couple, greatest uncle to a lot, and the absolute best grandfather to his favorites.

To say he will be missed is an understatement. He had a great love for his friends and family. He is survived by his wife and soul mate Erma Louise (Coe) Baker of 48 years; one son, James (wife) Brittney; a daughter, Tonya (Devin); 8 grandchildren: McKinley, Michael, Cadence, Maci, Rebecca, Kaylee, Dahia of Virginia, and Alyssa of Bridgeville DE; and a host of nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Walter Harold Baker and Edith Marie Baker (Toomey), he is preceded in death by his brothers: Wayne and Robert Baker Sr.; sisters: Mary Whaley and Lisa Hernandez; nephews: Robert (Bobby) Baker Jr. and Daniel Baker; and a niece, Kimberly Renee, as well as friends he considered family.
