Mrs. Nancy Lee Moran Pershing, 71, of Rockville, Maryland who resided in the Millville/Ocean View area of Delaware for the past 45 years, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones, on Sunday, November 26, 2023, after a brief illness where she was hospitalized at Beebe Memorial in Lewes, Delaware.

She was born October 1, 1952, to parents Michael and Beverly Moran of Rockville, Maryland.  Michael served in the US Navy as a gunman on the battleship the USS Connor.

Nancy enjoyed spending time traveling with her beloved husband Maurice T. Pershing, whom she married on November 7, 1970 at Faith United Methodist Church in Montgomery County, Maryland.  Maurice was called to serve his country in the US Army and served in the 101st 82nd Airborne Division in the Vietnam War.

Nancy loved gardening, quilting, sewing, and doing arts and crafts with her beloved grandchildren.  She was always known for her love of animals, especially horses, and enjoyed caring for her pets.

She was preceded in death by her parents Beverly Elizabeth Moran and Micheal A. Moran, her husband Maurice T. Pershing, and her brother Mike Moran.

Mrs. Pershing is survived by her two children, Shannon K. Pershing and Duane Thomas Pershing, her 3 grandsons, Cruz, Cage, and Cody, her best friend Joyce, sisters-in-law Roxane Moran and Beverly Pershing, nieces Barbry, Megan, Kelley, and Randy, and numerous beloved grand nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date, and all who loved her will be welcome to come celebrate at that time.
