Obituary

Margaret Patricia Woolford, born November 24, 1941, to the late Clarence Julius Pritchett and Mary Geneva Pritchett, ascended to her home in glory on October 8, 2024, at the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center in Glen Burnie, Maryland.

Patricia, known to her family and friends as Trisha and Ms. Pat, was educated in the Talbot County Public School system. Later, she became employed by the school system as a cafeteria aide at Easton Middle School and a night custodian at the Talbot County Board of Education. She also was a domestic houseworker for the families of The Honorable Sidney S. Campen, Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caldwell, Jr. After this career path, she would embark on the career she loved - being the childcare provider for the joy and loves of her life, her grandchildren. Known to her grandchildren and others as Mom-Mom, she was known for saying, "I am living for my grandkids." Her love for children was endless. Word quickly got around about her loving, nurturing care for children, and she began providing childcare for others who called her mom-mom Trish. Even when she said she was done with childcare, she could never say no when anyone was in need.

Patricia was one of the first residents to move into the Doverbrook Apartments where she was called the mayor by her neighbors and self-appointed Neighborhood Watch. She lived there for several decades, creating fond memories with family, friends, and neighbors.

Patricia leaves behind to cherish with loving memories, children: Daphan P. Smith (Willie), Trina C. Green, Dexter L. Pritchett, Harry A. Woolford (Lisa), and Everick Wayne Woolford; grandchildren: Richard Green, Jr (Beth), Lonnelle Green, Brittany Marshall (Wesley), Bria Flowers (Joseph), Kyra Ringgold, Tysheka Woolford, Christian Smith, Daniel Pritchett, Rakeem Woolford, Jalen Cook, Noah Woolford, and Naomi Woolford; 12 great grandchildren; siblings: Charles Mills, Clarence Pritchett (Ida), Claudette Ardene Pritchett, Sheila Pritchett, and Dwight Pritchett, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Ida Joanne Benson and Sherry Ann Pritchett, and sister-in-law, Jacqueline  "Jackie" Mills.
