IN LOVING MEMORY OF
William Elzey
(Lz) Moore, Iii
August 21, 1968 – November 19, 2022
On Saturday November 19, 2022, Almighty God in His merciful wisdom called home William Elzey Moore, III. Little, as he was affectionately known, was born August 21, 1968, to Olive Rosalie Morris Moore and the late William Elzey Moore, Jr in Salisbury, MD.
Although William was known as Little, he was also known to many of his friends as Elzey, Al, and LZ. He was the youngest of the clan. As a child he attended Sunday School at St Luke United Methodist Church in Hebron. He was a Bobcat in Cub Scout Troop where his mother was the Den Mother. While a student at Mardela Middle and High School, he played saxophone in the school band. Little graduated with the Class of 1986 from Mardela Middle and High. He started his love of music as he acted as DJ with his cousin, the late Jimmy Nutter. They built their own speakers. After high school, Little joined the Marines. He soon became an expert rifle and sharpshooter. He spent most of his time serving in Saudi Arabia. After his deployment from the military, Little found employment in the area where he was raised. He was employed as a truck driver for Frito Lay and Eric Morris. Little also worked for Long Life Treated Woods in Hebron, Maryland. He even found time to father the two apples of his eyes: Elessa and Will. Little enjoyed working on his blue 1984 Ford Mustang to get it on the road. He was a Baltimore Ravens fan and enjoyed many days cheering them on.
William leaves to cherish his fond memory with his son, William Moore and one daughter Elessa Moore both of Salisbury; his mother, Olive Rosalie Moore of Hebron; 2 sisters: Lenora Dashiell of Salisbury and Beverly (Issac) Davis of Seaford, Delaware; 2 brothers: Elder Reginald (Marla) Morris of Salisbury, and Patrick (Ruth) Morris of Hampton, Virginia; 2 aunts: Annie Mae Hyland of Middletown, Delaware and Hattie Morris of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; a devoted friend of nine years, Betty Johnson of Salisbury, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Little was preceded in death by his father, William Elzey Moore, Jr; several uncles: Elijah Moore, William Morris, Benjamin Morris, Milton Morris, Lester Hyland, Matthew Wharton, and Robert Morris; aunts: Odessa Morris, Freda Wharton, Teresa Morris, and Mary Katherine Morris; one brother-in-law, James "June" Dashiell.
Little's service will be Live Streamed.
